Pochards

I'm no expert, or twitcher, but apparently the red crested Pochard isn't that common, and originally thought to be rare - maybe you know...?

All I know is that this pair created a fair amount of interest, and I was told that the British population of Siberian Pochards may have originally been escapees. The male, when upright, reminded me of the penguin-duck out of Wallace and Grommit!
