New York & Ground Zero

Italy

Newcastle

Newcastle upon Tyne is a university city on the River Tyne in northeast England.

With its twin city, Gateshead, it was a major shipbuilding and manufacturing hub during the Industrial Revolution and is now a centre of business, arts and sciences. Spanning the Tyne, modern Gateshead Millennium Bridge, noted for its unique tilting aperture, is a symbol of the 2 cities.

Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre is a string of centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline.

In each of the 5 towns, colorful houses and vineyards cling to steep terraces, harbors are filled with fishing boats and trattorias turn out seafood specialties along with the Liguria region’s famous sauce, pesto. The Sentiero Azzurro cliffside hiking trail links the villages and offers sweeping sea vistas.

Road trip to Cornwall

This was as much of a test in preparation for a road trip to France first week in September 2018. This is really the first major trip in the camper van and, other than the odd night away locally it's a maiden voyage for Vera-Too

Headed down to Cornwall and stayed at Connor Downs close to St Ives for a few nights early August. Reasonable journey and stayed at North Somerset on the way down. The weather held off reasonably well!

On the road, north of St Ives

Then, arrived at base camp in Connor Downs, met by a welcoming crowd and placed on a lovely pitch in a nice quiet area of the site. Spacious, clean and a lovely open aspect

Parked up for the day in Connor Downs, Cornwall

St Ives, Hayle and the surrounding areas of West Cornwall boast some superb beaches and coastline, spent time on the beach and with family. A quick 4 night break to test out the van and find any tweaks in preparation for a road trip through France soon...

Coastline at Hayle

In conclusion, a great few days away and tested out the camper van, there's a few modifications to make and few changes internally, but otherwise the van performed really well

Tucked up for the night

More to follow, and updates as the French trip unravels!
